Skiing

Les Crosets is situated in the heart of the fabulous Portes du Soleil and boasts excellent snow conditions all season long – as well as a fast link to France via the spectacular Pointe des Mossettes lift (2,277m). Experienced instructors at the ESS (Ecole de Ski Suisse) offer lessons for beginners, advanced skiers and snowboarders of all levels. If it's thrills you're after, free-stylers can get their fill in the Snowpark, which is one of the world’s best according to those in the know. And if you're up for a real challenge, you might even like to take on La Chavanette – the exhilarating ‘Swiss Wall’ – but be careful you don’t fall!

Beginners

The nursery slope is ideal for novices and is situated right opposite Mountain Lodge – so after their lessons, weary beginners have only yards to make it back to the comfort of the hotel! Under the watchful eyes of the ESS instructors, beginners soon progress from the nursery slope, onwards and upwards to the many beautiful runs of the Portes du Soleil.

Intermediate skiers

Les Crosets sits at the centre of a large sunny bowl and chairlifts access all points – Mossette over to Avoriaz (in France), Crosets 2 to Champery and Point de L’Au over to Champoussin. You can choose from blue, red or black runs back to Les Crosets and the piste back to Mountain Lodge is either a blue through the trees, or the FIS race piste from Crosets 2. The Snowpark offers some interesting challenges, but be careful, some of the jumps are huge!

Advanced skiers

Les Crosets gives advanced skiers the edge. Be the first up the mountain in the mornings to carve up the corduroy on Mossette, or after a snowfall, get the first tracks down the couloirs. The classic Morgins off-piste is just one small drag and one chairlift away from the hotel, whilst the Haute Forts over in Avoriaz are just two lifts away. A steep, off-piste variation to the last run leads back to Mountain Lodge through the trees – but be warned, you’ll be in full view of the terrace bar outside the hotel and likely to be the one that everyone is talking about that evening if you spin out of control!
