The Portes Du Soleil area is both skier and snow boarder friendly. There are no less than three board parks in the area which means you can have plenty of fun taking big air and practicing those grabs. For hardcore snowboarders there is the half pipe in Avoriaz situated near the lift so an audience is guaranteed! For both skiers and snowboarders there is loads of off-piste skiing easily accessed from the lifts just waiting to be discovered!
Les Crosets is arguably the best ski resort near Geneva, with a short transfer time from Geneva Airport. One of the best European ski resorts for weekend skiing and located in the centre of the Portes du Soleil ski region. With modern fast lifts throughout the region, very often no lift queues to contend with, it gives you some of the best skiing in the world on your doorstep.
The Portes do Soleil has 12 linked resorts spanning across the French-Swiss border including Abondance, Avoriaz, Chatel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine-Avoriaz, St Jean d’Aulps, Champery, Morgins, Torgon, Les Crosets, Champoussin.
One of the Portes Du Soleil’s main attractions is its sheer size and the stunning scenery. It is a natural powder reserve with an average of 7.83m of powder every year. There are many traditional refuges on the mountain side to temp you with their traditional local cuisine, and a well deserved beverage!
